I lived from 2011 to 2012, studying fifth grade and half of sixth grade at an international school. I absolutely loved the city. After moving, going back would be a dream come true, so when I discovered NYU, I applied right away.
How To Survive Course Registration Season
I want to connect more with the world around me. I want to try many new things, get out of my comfort zone and learn a lot. I also want to be fluent in Chinese when I graduate.
After learning Mandarin in my school system for over 6 years, I knew I could use this invaluable skill in my career and beyond. NYU opens the door for me to explore the past and present of Chinese culture, and I am excited to see what the future holds for China and how it will affect us all.
I look forward to serving in the education sector of the US Peace Corps, teaching in China and/or Southeast Asia. After four years of living, I hope that my knowledge can be used by as many people as possible.

Meet Our Freshmen
I hope university is a fabulous experience that will last a lifetime. NYU presented itself as the best way to step out of my comfort zone, in every way. I also started to fall in love during the three days of Admit Students Weekend. I want to find out what this city has to hide.
I want to learn new things, expand my knowledge and master what I aspire to as a major (business), immerse myself in Chinese culture and start learning the language.

NYU's academic and educational quality is undeniable, but what attracted me most is its open environment for self-expression. Different people from all over the world gather here, each with different views and opinions on different issues, absorbing different ideas and understanding the world differently. You might feel a bit of culture shock at first, but you'll soon discover that it's such a fun and engaging place. Also, since my passion is learning languages, I want to immerse myself in different languages and also meet people from different cultural backgrounds.

In the next four years, apart from excelling academically, I want to be independent and find my true self. I want to learn to solve real-life problems and be able to self-manage and plan even under the pressure of studying and working. Just like the motto "Make the world your priority", I also want to "Make life my priority".

I attended NYUSPS courses last summer as a high school student. Although it was only one week at NYU, I got a feel for its unique academic atmosphere and campus culture. I want to get out of my comfort zone to learn in a different environment and meet friends from all over the world. I also knew that NYU would give me the time to explore and find a course that really interested me.
During the next four years, I will participate in various student club activities and make friends with my classmates and teachers. In four years, I hope to get a master's degree in a field I love.

White Coat Ceremony Welcomes Class Of 2023
I made my decision after Candidates Weekend. In 24 hours I met people from different cultural backgrounds with different perspectives who inspired me to make new friends and learn more about this world. I also liked the small classes where I can get more individual attention and better relationships with the teachers. Since the campus is located in Lujiazui financial district, it will be very convenient to get an internship.
I want to discover where my true passion lies and work to be the best in that field, no matter what the obstacles are. I also want to be in good shape, find one morning a week to exercise. NYU's Executive MBA program (EMBA) is designed to meet the needs of busy professionals. The program starts in August or January and takes 22 months to complete. Classes meet on Fridays and Saturdays every two weeks. Students primarily focus on only two courses at a time to help balance career, rigorous coursework, and personal life.

The Executive MBA program begins with a one-week orientation residency where students attend live classes and also begin to build strong relationships with fellow students. During the 22-month course, students attend classes every two weeks on Fridays and Saturdays in our building in the heart of Washington Square. In addition to class weekends, students participate in global study tours to extend their learning outside the classroom and develop a more global perspective.

A typical classroom day in the Executive MBA program begins with breakfast on campus with peers. Students start two courses during the day. Lunch breaks provide a great opportunity for students to connect with classmates on a more informal level outside of the classroom. NYU also offers special lunchtime programming focused on important business topics and other areas of interest to our students. Students believe that replacing spring break with two long weekends is harmful to their mental health. Managers are confident in their plans.

On October 20, President Andrew Hamilton and Dean Catherine Fleming announced plans to cancel spring break 2021 to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Instead, the University Senate and Senate Academic Affairs Committee extended winter break by three days, creating two three-day weekends on Friday, March 19 and Monday, April 19. "The Senate Executive Committee accepted the recommendation of the Student Senators Council to designate two long weekends during the semester (in addition to President's Weekend) to give everyone a little breather," Hamilton and Fleming wrote in the message. "We will be especially vigilant during the spring semester regarding the well-being, self-care, and stress issues of students, faculty, and staff." However, some students believe that these short breaks are no substitute for the mental health benefits of a full spring break. Although no stranger to heavy course loads and extracurricular commitments, Bobby Boettinger, a senior at Tisch, told WSN that he has never been so exhausted as he has taken three semesters of online classes. "It's just a different kind of exhaustion," Boettinger said. "This is not just an NYU problem.
