USU's course offerings are organized in a semester system with some unique learning experiences that go beyond the traditional semester format. Coursework lasting more than one semester is graded throughout the course (multiple periods) and appears as an "R" grade until the final semester earns a letter grade.

Classification by the University Administration (ONS) for pre-tenure years is done by cohort based on program requirements.

Clerk Year Classification: Clerk Year Classification is done through the MedHub program of the Faculty of Medicine. In cooperation with ONS, ŠOM will inform students of the exact dates and details of their studies. All requested changes to the course list must be approved by the Office of Student Affairs; and final istration schedules are sent to ONS for processing in the Student Information System (SIS), Empowered. All placements for the upcoming academic year (starting with the class of 2024) will be through MedHub.

Post Clerk Year Assessment: Post Clerk Year Assessment is also done through the School of Medicine's MedHub software. In cooperation with ONS, ŠOM will inform students of the exact dates and details of their studies. Similarly, the Office of Student Affairs must accept any requested changes to the subject lists and send the final list sheets to ONS for processing in the authorized Student Information System (SIS). Utah State Announces 2022 Gymnastics Schedule

The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is an undergraduate program that allows non-resident students to pay 150% of resident tuition. The program ends every year with the autumn semester and is planned for a maximum of 8 semesters. Students receiving WUE will not receive a "scholarship" or "toleration waiver", instead their residence code will be changed and the student will be charged the WUE fee (150% of resident tuition).

Students must be legal residents of a participating state: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Marshall Islands, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming. A student's time enrolled in WUE does not count toward residency status requirements for tuition purposes.

Cooperation Scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated leadership qualities and made significant contributions to their school and community. Need-based scholarships are awarded to admitted students based on financial need. This scholarship is provided by the Financial Aid Office in varying amounts. The application deadline for Fall 2023 is February 1, 2023 (pending available funds).

All applicants who wish to be considered must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov. The school code is 003677 and you must complete the FAFSA.
