International Student Program

How much loan can I take? Although it is possible to earn 10 credits during the summer, we recommend taking a maximum of one 5-credit class (English Language Arts/Social Studies/Math/Science) to prepare for success.

What is the structure of the summer school lessons? All course content is published on our Hakura (online learning) platform. Students can complete the course entirely online and interact with their teachers daily via Google Meet. Alternatively, they can attend Fort Macleod School to meet their teachers face-to-face (this can be 1-5 days a week). The content is equally accessible to students who need a flexible schedule.

How much work do I have to do each day? Given the compressed course time, students must complete at least one hour of work per day for each credit. For example, if they take a 5-credit English course, they have to spend about 5 hours a day in their classroom.

What is my schedule? Summer teachers are available for assistance during regular school hours and have a daily Google Meet for each class. However, we understand that some students may require a flexible schedule to be able to access content at any time.
